As you will expect from a Red Note Melo product,the model 2 is a totally handmade ultra-quality amplifier featuring a clean channel with a fat, transparent, dynamic and articulate tone intended to reveal all the subleties from the most prized archtops. This is a true musical instrument for the serious performer, an amplifier to forget about amplification.

Like all the other models the amplifier has a switchable Triode/Pentode section and an all tube parallel effects loop.

The open and transparent tone of the amplifier is achieved using techniques and components derivated from the high end HI-FI field. These include the use of full bandwith output transformers, polypropilene coupling capacitors, low noise resistors, silver stranded teflon wire, non magnetic inox chassis and low impedance choke loaded power supply with plastic caps bypassing electrolitycs. If you own a guitar with good acoustic proprieties you will love the way the model 2 respects your tone and performance.
